I am feeling much better today! The dizziness is gone (thank goodness) and the pain in my head has faded to a dull ache. I’m hoping that it just gets better from here and I won’t have any more withdrawal symptoms.
Today I sent in my application form and cheque for Extravaganza: A Gift Show that will be held on Saturday, November 3 from 10am – 4pm at the Victoria Park Armoury in Lindsay. It’s a fundraiser for the Ross Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and has a reputation for being a good show.
I’ve booked a 10′ x 12′ space and now I’m looking at options for how to set things up. I’ve been reading a lot on successful booth displays and ideas on how to create an inviting space. A number of artists have purchased pre-made displays while others have created their own. I’m still in the research phase but I’ll have to come up with a plan soon since the show isn’t that far away!
I’m busy making a list of things to do and I also have to come up with a plan for some new work. I will be doing a number of palette knife paintings as they sell for much less than my oil paintings and are still original pieces. I will also be taking some original oils, the limited edition prints and the note cards.
Back to my research…..
