The little fall painting is almost done – Day 193

The little fall painting is almost done. It’s a palette knife painting in acrylic on board. This is a commission for a friend who is also purchasing the other fall palette knife painting I’ve done.

The scene is classic autumn in Muskoka, Ontario – trees, colours and reflections in a beautiful lake. It’s been a bit tricky to do and I still have some details to finish and a few things to touch up but I should be able to finish it up in the next day or two.

I’ve also been working on my Etsy shop – taking photos and trying to compile all the info I need to put on the listings. I seriously underestimated the time it was going to take to have it up and running but I’m plugging away!

Wow! This is truly gorgeous. I used to go up to the Muskoka area for camp in the summer and it was stunningly beautiful. I always wanted to see it in the fall and I was even thinking of it today. Then I came across this post and I was like “Oh my, this is what I’m missing…”. Thank you for painting this wonderful piece of art to show everyone the beauty of Ontario! This brings me back 🙂

Thank you! I’ve been lucky enough to have a family cottage in Muskoka and just love it. I took the photo this painting is based on from the end of the dock. Heaven!

You will not regret a trip to Muskoka in the fall if you can do it!
