Lots of drawing – Day 65 & 66

Yesterday I finished the portrait drawing in the morning. This turned out to be a good thing because I got hit with a major migraine in the late afternoon. I came home from work and crawled into bed. I was still in serious pain this morning so I ended up taking the day off work.

Although my head still hurts, the fog in my brain has lifted a little bit so I was able to get some drawing done tonight. When I have a migraine I tend to be very methodical….probably because I’m moving very slowly. I didn’t feel up to dealing with the big canvas of the Trilliums so I got out an 8″ x 10″ canvas and drew out the purple orchids (resource photo is below).

I want to do a few smaller paintings so I can build up a bit more inventory. Now, it’s time to head back to bed again so hopefully tomorrow the pain will be gone!

I’ve been getting them since I was 12 and they can’t figure out what causes them. So I just live with them the best I can. Today is a better day!

I have a friend who gets migraines triggered by the smell of fresh cut grass, of all things. I’m not going to presume to know what it’s like to live with them, but have you noticed anything that triggers them?

Good luck with your project – I know it will turn out great.

Weather is certainly a factor, so the fact that the temperature has been fluctuating from -20 to +15 and back down again to 0 hasn’t helped! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to pinpoint any consistent trigger for them.

Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate them!
